KC Group are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the support services sector, seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join their finance team on a full-time temporary to permanent basis. Based in the Birmingham area, hybrid working is available and a flexible start time of 8:00am/9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function within a fast-paced business environment. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll operations are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with current legislation.

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager role Includes:
  • Managing the end-to-end payroll process for a large workforce
  • Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and to strict deadlines
  • Maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations and payroll legislation
  • Managing statutory payments, pensions and deductions
  • Reconciling payroll reports and resolving payroll queries
  • Producing payroll-related reporting and analysis for senior management
  • Leading process improvements and maintaining payroll controls
  • Liaising with finance, HR and external stakeholders as required
  • Supporting audits and compliance activities
To be considered for the Payroll Manager role:
  • Previous experience in a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll position
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
  • Experience managing high-volume payrolls
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments
  • Available to start at short notice
