Our client is a highly successful Accountancy firm with a vast array of client industries and sizes on its books.

The Accounts and Audit Team are a vital cog in a busy, growing wheel and maintain close contact with clients in all areas of accounting work including Year-End, Statutory Accounts, for businesses in numerous industries and locations.

This position is for an accomplished and proven Team Manager who is not getting the recognition and opportunity where they currently work.

An experienced qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years UK Accountancy Practice experience is preferred. You will have a broad knowledge of all Practice accountancy requirements including accounts preparation to statutory accounts.

A good knowledge of corporation and personal taxation is of course preferred.

You will be running a team below you and can contribute to senior management team meetings and Practice Management development for the firm.

Requirements

  • Work closely with a variety of clients from sole traders to large corporations.
  • A good grounding of at least 5 years from within a medium sized Accountancy Practice.
  • Well versed in Accounts preparation, audit, and tax requirements.
  • IT Literate on several packages including Xero and Sage.
  • Preparation of Client accounts to statutory accounts including Limited Companies, LLP's, Plc.
  • Broad industry experience of different types of business accounts.
  • Working with the audit team on the firm's top clients.
  • Attend and conduct client meetings to discuss financial and tax matters.
  • Advising on changes in legislation and implementing new ideas.
  • Preparation of Management Accounts and discussion notes relating to past results.
  • Help on Cash flow forecasts and business planning.
  • Tax and accounting projects relevant to specific clients.

You should be part or fully qualified with 5 years + of accounting experience from a medium sized UK accounting firm.

This is a challenging and demanding position as it requires deadlines to be met and an excellent quality of service.
