Our client runs a busy, expanding business. The work is relevant to the logistics and transport industry. There is a lot going on and business is good.

This means an efficient, experienced Logistics Co-ordinator and Administrator is now needed to run the day-to-day operations of the business.

The Logistics Co-ordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the office environment. This position involves a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the overall functioning of the logistics and transportation of goods, products and people and contribute to a productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to get vehicles from A to B efficiently and profitably
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments for drivers and transport managers.
  • Prepare quotes for new business and give prices.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of internal and external communications.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring that necessary items are stocked.
  • Oversee office organisation and co-ordinate staff rotas for 24x7 shifts
  • Manage office facilities, including liaising with service providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, both electronic and physical.
  • Assist in data entry, data analysis, and report generation as needed.
  • Ensure that travel expenses are recorded and processed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with basic financial tasks, such as invoicing, expenses, and budget monitoring.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Maintain employee records and assist with HR-related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ideally from a relevant background of transport, logistics, parcels, minicabs, taxis, Amazon deliveries
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
