Our client are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join the dynamic legal team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements to support the business's operational and strategic objectives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional looking to work closely with stakeholders in a fast-paced, commercial environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts including:
  • Supply and service agreements
  • Distribution and agency agreements
  • IT, Saa S, and licensing contracts
  • Confidentiality agreements (NDAs)
  • Procurement and outsourcing contracts
  • Terms and conditions of sale or purchase
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and risks.
  • Support contract lifecycle management, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments such as procurement, sales, marketing, and compliance.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of contract templates and legal policies.
  • Support business development initiatives and commercial projects.
  • Stay updated on legal developments and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Deliver training and guidance to non-legal colleagues on contracting best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years PQE.
  • Strong background in commercial law and contracts, gained either in private practice or in-house.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to assess and manage legal and commercial risk.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A commercial mindset and ability to work effectively in a business-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and contract management tools (desirable).
  • Previous in-house legal experience.
  • Exposure to international contracts and cross-border transactions.
  • Sector-specific experience (e. g., technology, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, etc.).
  • Experience working with data protection, competition law, or intellectual property.
