We are currently working with an established and highly regarded regional accountancy and advisory firm looking to appoint an experienced Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager to join its growing audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional who enjoys leading teams, building strong client relationships, and working on a broad and varied audit portfolio.
You will work with a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors, from fast-growing SMEs to larger, more complex corporate groups, with turnovers ranging from £1m to £100m. The role offers genuine scope to influence, develop your career, and become a trusted adviser to your clients.
The Role:- Managing a varied portfolio of audit and corporate clients with turnovers between £1m and £100m
- Acting as a trusted adviser, providing technical and commercial guidance
- Taking responsibility for the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services
- Supporting clients with corporate transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, fundraising, and restructuring
- Advising on remuneration planning, group structures, and wider commercial matters
- Liaising closely with internal tax specialists on corporation tax and related issues
- Using strong client knowledge to anticipate and resolve complex matters
- Assisting Partners and Directors on ad hoc projects, including corporate finance assignments (due diligence, MBOs, fundraising, AIM-related work)
- Playing an active role in business development, pitches, and winning new work
- Managing, mentoring, and developing junior team members
- Strong up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs, and the Companies Act
- Confident managing client relationships and leading audit engagements
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your portfolio
- Commercially minded with an interest in business development
