KBS Maritime is seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) professional to support the delivery and continuous improvement of SHE performance across the business. Working closely with managers, project teams and subcontractors, you'll provide expert guidance, drive compliance, support SHE initiatives and influence positive change, helping to embed a strong culture of safety, health and environmental responsibility throughout the organisation.
What you will be doing:
- Providing expert Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) advice and support to managers, project teams and subcontractors, helping them effectively manage risk and compliance within their areas of responsibility.
- Supporting the development, implementation and continual improvement of the SHE Management System in line with company requirements and recognised standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Leading SHE improvement initiatives, driving positive change and promoting a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.
- Investigating incidents, identifying root causes and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented and shared across the business.
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting SHE performance, providing clear insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Carrying out audits, inspections and assurance activities to verify compliance with legal, customer and company requirements.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, influencing decision-making and embedding SHE considerations into everyday operations.
- Acting as a key point of contact for regulators, customers and other external parties on SHE-related matters.

About you:
- Experienced Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) professional with a strong technical understanding of SHE management standards and best practice.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental management principles, standards and practices.
- Ability to apply SHE knowledge, experience and best practice to support operational delivery and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of how to influence and engage stakeholders to successfully implement SHE processes, projects and change initiatives.
- Ability to support the effective deployment of SHE requirements within a business environment by understanding operational objectives, challenges and priorities.
- Skilled in translating SHE requirements into practical solutions that support business and operational goals.
- Strong awareness of organisational deliverables, planned developments and operational challenges, enabling effective SHE support and guidance.
- Holds a relevant SHE qualification, such as: NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Level 5 NVQ in Occupational Safety and Health Practice, Level 6 NCRQ Diploma in Applied Health and Safety, NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or another relevant Safety, Health and/or Environmental qualification or equivalent experience.
- Having post-qualification experience applying SHE knowledge and processes in a workplace environment.
- Membership of a relevant professional Safety, Health and/or Environmental institution is desirable.
