What You’ll be doing:

  • You’ll play a key part in supporting operations within Portsmouth Naval Base.
  • Working with the Subcontractor Management team, ensuring that all quoting, purchasing and funding approval is managed accordingly, enabling smooth operational delivery.
  • Raising purchase orders for subcontractor activities.
  • Support building, base maintenance and waterfront service activities by ensuring requests are submitted to the MOD authority for funding approvals.
  • Control and manage the ordering and issuing of consumable stock for fast moving items.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver increased efficiencies where possible, demonstrating value for money, when ordering materials.
  • Remain alert to changing client requirements and fulfilling requests.
  • Manage all non-direct purchasing for services and materials.

What you will bring:

  • Maintenance contract experience in a similar environment.
  • Be familiar with KPI and STO reporting and have Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) knowledge and experience is desirable.
  • Experience working with Purchase Request/Order management Platforms.
  • Experience in working with technical specifications and general purchasing.
