What you will be doing as a Quantity Surveyor:
- Joining the commercial team managing complex infrastructure and support services, you’ll anchor the fundamentals of standard commercial delivery while navigating a fast-paced environment.
- Produce robust pricing schedules for Invitation to Tender packages ensuring alignment with the Statement of Requirements.
- Review contractually required supplier documents (insurances, clarifications, liabilities) to protect the business from commercial risk.
- Engage in proactive, informal discussions with suppliers to iron out variation scopes and costs before formal submissions are made.
- Evaluate and certify supplier payment applications against agreed milestone profiles and Key Dates.
- Negotiate and close out supplier final accounts, resolving provisional sums, retention releases, and outstanding claims.
- Participate in final completion inspections, managing the financial assessment of outstanding defects during project handover.
What you will bring:
- Experience as a quantity surveyor.
- Strong working familiarity with the NEC contract suite.
- Proficient in standard QS practices including quantity take-offs, subcontract procurement, and CVR management.
- Robust Drafting Skills, with the ability to draft clear, objective, and contractually airtight formal correspondence and evaluation reports.
About you:
- Advanced Excel & Data Modelling experience.
- Experience with managing varied pricing types, specifically Lump Sum / Fixed Price, Target Cost (pain/gain), and Cost Reimbursable mechanisms.
