What you will be doing:

  • You’ll be the first point of contact for managers and employees on a wide range of people matters, which span the entire employee lifecycle including recruitment, payroll, training, disciplinary, absence management, performance management and grievances.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters, including the effective and timely management of employee relations cases.
  • Produce monthly HR metrics and reports to support business insights and decision-making.
  • Proactively review and update policies to ensure ongoing compliance with employment law and complete formal annual reviews.
  • Support cultural change initiatives through coaching and guidance to line managers.

What you will bring:

  • Experience within a generalist role, advising on a full range of casework (disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, flexible working).
  • Experience managing cases end-to-end, including documentation, investigations and outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of HR best practice and an understanding of practical employment law.
  • It would be desirable if you have experience of working in a unionised environment.

About you:

  • You’ll be CIPD Level 5 (or willing to work towards) or equivalent experience.
