We support central government and specialist departments in effectively managing delivery, to achieve their strategic goals. Estates Intelligence offers a compelling market proposition, delivering expertise and solutions to optimise data and information, supporting clients to achieve their objectives.

The Asset Management Lead will be responsible for leading and shaping the strategic approach to asset management across Estates Intelligence. The role will act as the senior asset-management authority within the business, working with clients to improve asset-related decision-making, value realisation, and long-term performance across complex estates. The post holder will provide asset-management governance and assurance across Estates Intelligence’s MAP (Maintain, Assure, Predict) business analytics capability and its associated Reference Data Library (RDL). The role will ensure that asset data, analytics, and outputs remain relevant, credible, and aligned to best-practice asset-management principles and industry standards. The role will also support business growth through bid writing, business development, and industry engagement.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Asset Management Leadership: Define, lead, and continuously improve the asset-management approach and service offering for Estates Intelligence. Act as a senior advisor to clients on asset-management strategy, maturity, and improvement roadmaps. Support clients in improving asset-related decision-making, balancing cost, risk, performance, and compliance. Translate asset-management best practice into practical, data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Client Engagement & Delivery: Engage directly with existing and new clients across public-sector and regulated environments. Lead asset-management discussions, workshops, and reviews with senior client stakeholders. Provide asset-management oversight, assurance, and subject-matter expertise to delivery teams. Ensure client outcomes align with recognised asset-management standards and frameworks.
  • Reference Data Library (RDL) Design & Governance: Lead the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of Estates Intelligence’s Reference Data Library (RDL). Define and govern standard asset taxonomies, classifications, attributes, and reference values to support consistent asset information and analytics. Ensure the RDL supports MAP analytics, performance reporting, benchmarking, and asset-related decision-making across the lifecycle. Establish and operate change control, versioning, and governance arrangements for the RDL to ensure consistency, traceability, and auditability. Align the RDL with recognised asset-management standards and relevant sector classifications. Support clients and delivery teams in mapping and improving legacy asset data against the RDL.
  • MAP Data Governance & Assurance: Provide asset-management governance and assurance input to the MAP (Maintain, Assure, Predict) analytics capability. Ensure MAP data structures, metrics, and outputs remain relevant, defensible, and aligned to asset-management principles and the Reference Data Library. Review and challenge MAP analytics, assumptions, and reporting from an asset-management perspective. Work collaboratively with product owners and technical teams to inform enhancements without assuming product ownership or delivery responsibility.
  • Business Development & Bid Support: Support business development activities, including client engagement, proposition development, and thought leadership. Contribute to bid writing and tender responses, providing asset-management narratives, data governance approaches, and technical assurance. Support development of case studies, white papers, and market-facing materials.
  • Industry & Market Engagement: Actively engage across industry to ensure Estates Intelligence remains current with evolving asset-management practices, data standards, and analytics techniques. Build and maintain professional networks across infrastructure, estates, and public-sector asset-management communities. Represent Estates Intelligence at industry events, forums, and professional bodies where appropriate.

  • Significant experience in asset-management roles within estates, infrastructure, or complex asset-intensive environments.
  • Experience working with public-sector clients and/or within public-sector or regulated contract environments.
