Title:Finance and Accounting ManagerAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced finance professional to take ownership of financial reporting, governance, statutory compliance, and internal controls within a complex and dynamic business environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making.As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all financial information reported to Corporate, external auditors, and regulatory bodies is complete, accurate, and fully compliant with US GAAP, IFRS, and UK GAAP. The spin-off creates unique opportunities for professional growth, increased responsibility, and long-term career development within a newly independent organisation.This is an exciting time to join KBR as the company prepares for the forthcoming spin-off of its Government Solutions business into Trinzic, creating new opportunities for growth, transformation, and career development.Responsibilities Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial records and general ledger activity in compliance with regulatory standards of US & UKManage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reportingLead, team of accounting professionals and manage oversight of team in Chennai; delegate tasks, provide guidanceAnalyse and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts; identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerEnsure internal financial reporting meets the needs of both business operations and corporate leadershipCollaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during annual audits, and other compliance engagementsSupport the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsParticipate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives to enhance accounting operations and financial transparencyWhat we are looking forEssentialQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Proven experience of working in a Matrix Organisation and contracting and project environmentLeadership experience – Prior supervisory roles or experience leading teamsGlobal collaboration – Ability to oversee and provide guidance to the Chennai team remotelyExcel – Strong proficiency in financial data analysis and reportingTechnical accounting mastery – Deep knowledge of accounting principles and standardsAudit liaison skills – Familiarity with both internal and external audit processesMicrosoft Dynamics proficiency – Hands-on experience with financial ERP systems such as SAP, CostpointProcess improvement mindset – Passion for optimizing and refining accounting workflowsWorking knowledge of US GAAP and SOX complianceDesirableExperience working within a publicly listed organisation or US-based multinational companyLocationLeatherhead, Surrey (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)Security RequirementsDue to the nature of the projects we work on, restrictions relating to UK residency and nationality will apply.
