Reporting Lead – Project Performance Office

Title: Reporting Lead - Project Perfomance Office The Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model was mobilised in 2019 with the purpose of transforming major project delivery at the Sellafield nuclear site. The partnership is delivering a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects to support the decommissioning of Sellafield and to create a clean and safe environment for future generations. In delivering its pipeline of large-scale infrastructure projects, PPP is creating opportunities for its people, supply chain, economy and communities. KBR’s rapidly growing nuclear team of teams is working at the forefront of the UK’s nuclear space on some of the most exciting new-build, defence and decommissioning programmes. KBR was recently named a “Great Place to Work-Certified” company, an honour that underscores the company’s commitment to being a UK employer of choice for people who want to do work that matters.

Due to the nature of our work and security requirements, KBR does not offer sponsorship for this role. We can only consider applicants with the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.

Project Performance Office (PPO)

The Project Performance Office (PPO) mission is to connect people, processes and capabilities to enable informed, effective decision making through high-quality, data-driven insight. The primary objective is to support the successful delivery of projects across the Sellafield Enterprise and PPP. At the core of the PPO identity lies 5 operating units; Project Services, Portfolio Management, Business Management, Risk Management and Assurance & Performance Oversight. The successful applicant will support the delivery of the Assurance & Performance Oversight team. They will be responsible for developing and leading the integrated reporting capability that provides clear, timely and insightful performance information across projects, programmes and the wider portfolio. The role ensures that reporting is consistent, proportionate and aligned from project through to portfolio level, enabling effective governance, evidence-based decision-making and confidence in delivery. Working closely with stakeholders across Programme Controls, Digital, Portfolio Management and the senior leadership team, the Reporting Lead will drive reporting standards, performance insight and continuous improvement, ensuring information supports strategic decision-making rather than simply reporting data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a cohesive reporting framework that aligns project, programme and portfolio reporting into a single, integrated performance management approach.
  • Establish reporting standards, governance and methodologies to ensure consistency and quality of information across the Project Delivery Directorate (PDD).
  • Work collaboratively across Programme Controls and wider functional teams to analyse performance trends, identify emerging issues, and deliver integrated performance insights that enable effective governance and decision-making.
  • Support project and programme teams to develop robust reporting arrangements that can be effectively collated and escalated through PDD governance.
  • Lead the development of performance dashboards, reports and executive summaries tailored to different governance forums and stakeholder expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Digital function to define reporting system requirements and ensure sufficient capability and capacity within platforms such as Power BI and other reporting technologies.
  • Ensure reporting solutions maximise automation, reduce manual effort and improve data quality and accessibility.
  • Engage with senior leaders and stakeholders to understand decision-making requirements and continuously refine reporting outputs to provide actionable insight.
  • Challenge existing reporting practices to remove duplication, reduce unnecessary reporting burden and improve efficiency across the organisation.
  • Ensure robust data governance, including data quality, integrity, ownership and assurance of reporting information.
  • Provide advice and coaching to project teams on reporting best practice and performance management.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, benchmarking and adoption of industry best practice.
