We're looking for a Tax Manager to join our International Tax team based in Leatherhead, Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in corporate tax compliance, reporting, governance, and advisory activities across a dynamic international business.
Working closely with finance, accounting, and operational stakeholders, as well as external advisors, you'll help ensure tax obligations are met, tax risks are effectively managed, and the business receives practical, commercial tax support. This role comes at a particularly exciting time as Trinzic prepares to become an independent public company through the planned separation of KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a growing global organisation while helping shape tax processes and support the business through a significant period of transformation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead corporate tax compliance activities, including the preparation and review of tax computations, returns, and supporting analysis.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support corporate tax payment processes, including forecasting quarterly instalment payments and monitoring tax liabilities.
- Analyse and review financial information required for tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax accounting processes, including current and deferred tax calculations under UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Prepare and review tax disclosures for statutory financial statements and support internal and external audits.
- Maintain tax governance documentation, internal controls, and Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) compliance processes.
- Manage tax authority enquiries, audits, and other tax-related matters.
- Provide practical tax advice on business transactions and day-to-day operational activities.
- Conduct technical tax research and support strategic business initiatives.
- Support transfer pricing compliance activities and related documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, reporting, automation, and data quality.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience in corporate tax, tax accounting, or a related tax function.
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing corporate tax computations, returns, and tax reporting requirements.
- Strong experience supporting UK corporate tax compliance and tax accounting activities.
- Experience working within a multinational organisation or complex business environment would be beneficial.
- Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- Good understanding of tax accounting principles under UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Ability to interpret tax regulations and provide practical, business-focused advice.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Desirable Experience
- Experience gained within a Big Four firm and/or a large multinational organisation.
- Exposure to tax matters across European and African jurisdictions.
- Experience using OneSource or similar tax compliance software.
- Experience supporting transfer pricing compliance activities.
- Experience managing tax audits, enquiries, and relationships with tax authorities.
- Experience driving process improvements, automation initiatives, or tax technology enhancements.
