Lead Electrical Engineer (Expat Assignment)

We are looking for an Electrical Lead to support an overseas based LNG Project. The Lead will be responsible for interfacing with the Electrical Client counterpart, Electrical Lead Engineer in UK, coordinating with the locally based project partners on Electrical matters and managing locally based Electrical Project work.
The Lead will, under broad direction, supervise and lead a group of engineers. Provide technical direction over a group and be responsible for coaching and developing lower-level professionals. The Lead will plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program.
Roles and Responsibilities
- As part of a project team, perform all aspects of Electrical scope area, or provide specialist expertise in one or more key project areas.
- May supervise and lead the Electrical team: provide technical direction over a group with responsibility for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower-level professionals.
- Lead the design of larger and more complex assignments.
- Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
- With appropriate experience, lead the project Electrical team.
Skills and experience
- Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and any work placements.
- Expert level understanding of one or more areas of Electrical scope.
- Able to check and confirm completeness of deliverables including philosophies, specifications and power system study reports.
- Previous experience in LNG projects and previous experience working with KBR is preferred.
Educational experience
- BEng or equivalent in engineering (typically Electrical Engineering)
- Masters degree in Engineering (typically Electrical Engineering)
- Chartered Engineer: membership of an accredited Institution, e.g. IET.
