KBR Consulting is seeking a Principal Process Consultant with Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) experience to join our international consulting organisation. The successful candidate will be a senior technical leader, providing high‐value advisory and engineering input across the CCUS project lifecycle and supporting business development activities aligned with the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership & Project Delivery: Act as a technical authority on CCUS-related studies and projects, including capture technologies, CO2 compression and conditioning/purification, transport (pipeline and shipping), and storage concepts. Lead or provide senior technical oversight for feasibility, concept and Pre‐FEED studies, technical and economic evaluations, technology assessment and selection, and CO2 value chain integration.
- Client Engagement & Advisory: Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, communicating effectively at both technical and executive levels. Support client discussions on decarbonisation strategies, CCUS deployment pathways, and investment readiness.
- Business Development & Market Support: Support KBR Consulting's CCUS and energy transition growth strategy through proposal preparation, technical inputs to bids and presentations, and client meetings and technical workshops.
- Team & Knowledge Leadership: Mentor and guide less‐experienced engineers and consultants. Contribute to the development of internal methodologies, tools, and best practices.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate depth of experience and knowledge in several of the following service areas:
- Carbon capture & sequestration market knowledge.
- Facility operations.
- Process design understanding and modelling.
- Feasibility and configuration studies to determine the viability of CCUS projects.
- Understanding of technical safety for CCUS applications and applicable regulations.
Essential skills include a degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline, along with relevant experience in engineering consultancy, project development, or operating company roles. Strong experience supporting feasibility, concept and Pre-FEED studies is required.
Must be able to travel on short notice for up to approximately 30% of the time.
