The Global Network, Voice and Audiovisual Operations Manager will lead a geographically distributed team responsible for enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, internet, data centre networking, voice, unified communications, video conferencing and audiovisual services. The role supports corporate offices, project locations, data centres, remote sites and restricted operating environments across multiple regions and time zones. Reporting to the Director, Networks and Infrastructure, the successful candidate will be accountable for service availability, performance, capacity, security, resilience, lifecycle management, operational support and continuous improvement across the assigned portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and hold accountable a global team responsible for network, voice, unified communications, conferencing and audiovisual services.
  • Oversee enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, internet, data centre network and remote site connectivity services.
  • Manage the operation and lifecycle of routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, software defined WAN platforms, network controllers and associated management technologies.
  • Oversee data centre network services, including leaf and spine architectures, VXLAN, EVPN, routing, segmentation and high availability.
  • Maintain reliable connectivity between data centres, offices, business partners, customer locations and remote sites.
  • Oversee foundational network services within the assigned scope, including DNS, DHCP, IP address management and network time services.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity on firewalls, secure remote access, network access control, VPN and secure access services.
  • Lead enterprise voice and telecommunications services, including Microsoft Teams Phone or comparable platforms, SIP services, carriers, telephone numbers, voicemail and emergency calling.
  • Oversee enterprise meeting room and audiovisual services, including conference rooms, boardrooms, training spaces, video conferencing, digital signage and room control systems.
  • Establish operational standards, support models and technology profiles for different meeting room and audiovisual requirements.
  • Maintain effective capacity, performance and service health reporting covering availability, latency, packet loss, wireless coverage, call quality and conferencing reliability.
  • Lead the response to major network, voice and audiovisual incidents, ensuring effective recovery, communication, root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Manage carriers, circuit providers, audiovisual integrators, manufacturers and managed service providers.
  • Support operating budgets, capital planning, telecommunications expenditure, licensing, renewals and cost optimisation.
  • Provide operational leadership for carrier migrations, office openings and closures, data centre activity, acquisitions, divestitures and enterprise separation programmes.

About You

You will have substantial experience managing enterprise network and communications services within a large, complex or regulated organisation. You should also demonstrate:

  • Experience leading geographically distributed infrastructure teams.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise routing, switching, wireless networking, WAN, internet and data centre networking.
  • Experience with technologies such as Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus and Cisco Meraki, or comparable enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, carrier networks, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, quality of service, DNS, DHCP and IP address management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Phone, Cisco collaboration technologies or comparable voice and conferencing platforms.
  • Experience managing telecommunications carriers, circuit providers and audiovisual service partners.
  • An understanding of enterprise audiovisual technologies, meeting room standards and operational support models.
  • Strong IT service management, major incident, problem management and operational risk capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain service risks and investment requirements to senior stakeholders.

Experience within engineering, government services, aerospace, defence or another highly regulated sector would be advantageous. Relevant Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL or audiovisual certifications are also desirable.

Location

United Kingdom, based at the company's Leatherhead Campus, with hybrid working in accordance with KBR's applicable policy. The role supports global services across multiple regions and time zones. Regular UK travel and occasional international travel will be required. The successful candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and may be required to obtain and maintain an appropriate level of security clearance.
