About the Role

You will support the delivery of a programme reporting and data capability built on a Power Platform and Dataverse solution. This capability will provide a controlled, central dataset and reusable reporting outputs across multiple areas. You’ll play a key role in shaping a structured data environment by building datasets, automating workflows for data ingestion and validation, and enabling report-ready outputs for Power BI. Your work will improve the consistency, traceability, and usability of programme data, supporting reliable governance reporting and assurance. Working across iterative development phases, you’ll engage with stakeholders, support testing cycles, and refine solutions based on feedback to ensure readiness for live service.

Security Requirements

SC Clearance. Due to the secure nature of this project, restrictions in relation to UK residency and nationality will apply.

Essential Experience

  • You have hands-on experience delivering solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Dataverse and workflow automation.
  • You bring experience designing data models and building automated processes to ingest, transform, and validate data.
  • You’re experienced in supporting user testing, responding to feedback, and delivering iterative improvements.
  • You have experience working in secure or highly regulated environments (e.g. MOD, nuclear, or similar).
  • You’re familiar with government functional standards (desirable).

Technical Skills

  • Strong capability in Dataverse data modelling, including tables, relationships, data types, and reference data.
  • Experience designing automation workflows, including scheduling, validation, and exception handling.
  • Knowledge of data quality controls, including rules, validation checks, and exception management.
  • Ability to structure data effectively to support Power BI reporting outputs.
  • Understanding of controlled release processes, including testing and defect resolution.

Location

The role is remote with occasional travel to Glasgow City Centre.
