Role Overview
Reporting to the commercial manager to provide commercial support and management to the project commercial team, ensuring that all aspects of project contract administration are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner, subcontract procurement & management, and general project commercial actions.
Management & coaching of junior project commercial staff.
Production and management of procurement schedule.
Delivery and accountability for the procurement of framework subcontractors as well as internal and external project commercial targets.
Engagement with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders.
- Ensure the procurement files are maintained to a professional standard.
- Ensure the project team provide key contract documents in a timely manner.
- Be the single point of contact for the supply chain during the procurement process.
- Highlight any current and potential issues to the commercial manager.
- Maintain compliance with approved processes, procedures and project executive plans.
- Active contribution to continuous improvement of the functional quality and performance of quantity surveying.
- Work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan.
Qualifications
- Supervisory/management experience within a project commercial team.
- Knowledge and/or experience of procurement and management of subcontract agreements.
- BSc in a related subject or equivalent experience.
- Chartered member of a recognised organisation (RICS or CIOB) an advantage, but not essential.
- Excellent knowledge of commercial aspects of civil and infrastructure projects.
- Experience of a Contract Management System (CEMAR, etc.).
- Capability of obtaining (or currently holds) UK nuclear industry clearance.
