Role Overview
The Analyst will report to the Lead Analyst and operate as part of the Estates Intelligence BI team.
This team delivers data‐driven insights across multiple projects to enable informed decision‑making for both internal stakeholders and clients.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI according to specifications.
- Validate inputs and calculations, provide commentary on performance drivers.
- Conduct trend analyses and scenario views to support decisions.
- Maintain specifications and data dictionaries, keeping them current and complete.
- Apply visual standards and contribute to the measure catalogue.
- Support user engagement clinics, produce quick reference guides and capture enhancement requests.
- Log, refine and prioritise feedback with Lead Analyst, UI/UX Developer and Client Insight & Analytics Lead.
- Collate to ensure models and measures fit reporting needs with Developers.
- Partner with UI/UX to maintain accessibility and consistent user experience.
- Execute scheduled data quality checks and record issues.
- Contribute to development of BI standards, processes and methodologies for continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Proven analytical skills and use of data to produce client reports.
- Experience with Power BI Desktop & Service, ideally with Power Fabric features.
- Ability to identify trends, investigate underlying causes and highlight best practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present findings to all audiences.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Experience in technical specification authoring.
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with Power Platform and automation tools.
- Good understanding of SQL.
- Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning concepts or advanced statistical techniques.
- Experience in estates management reporting.
- Understanding of CAFM systems (e. g., Concept Evolution) and estates reporting.
- Experience managing build, release, and deployment processes within a Dev Ops framework.
- Location and Travel
The role is based in Swindon with expected office presence up to 3 days per week; occasional travel to client sites required.
