KBR’s will be running a mobilisation programme to onboard a new Client into our Viaverse solution. This platform acts as the ‘single source of truth’ for our Clients teams in ensuring consistent, performant and efficient lifecycle management of assets across their public-facing and back-office sites. The Programme will deliver a scaled transition from the current service providers to the new services, delivered through multiple workstreams.

About the Role:

A critical role within this team is the IT Project Manager, who will report to the Senior IT Project Manager / Programme Director, have peer relationship with Senior Transition Lead and Solution Lead, and manage the Project Coordinator. The role is for a disciplined, tech-savvy and proactive IT Project Manager whose strengths are in detailed planning, plan execution, analysis, governance, senior stakeholder management.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Have ownership of detailed plan and will be responsible for ensuring the critical paths of multiple projects have integrity, tasks are resourced adequately with realistic effort provisions, internal and external dependencies are clearly defined and managed, critical milestones are clearly defined and met.
  • Have ownership of management of the detailed plan – this will include but not be limited to detailed planning and re-planning of multiple project elements, smoothing and float management, deconfliction, critical path burn-down and reporting, task progress updating and reporting.
  • Be responsible for ensuring all Products defined in the plan are managed per the configuration management and change management processes, ensuring all Products go through proper review cycles with correct stakeholders to meet plan dates.
  • Be responsible for leading all internal standups, sprint ceremonies and checkpoints required to ensure plan remains on critical path, escalating to Senior Transition Lead where a critical milestone is forecast to breach tolerance and agree exception plan to recover.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the KANBAN boards are being used correctly by all task-based resources to ensure standups are efficient and effective.
  • Be responsible for all internal progress reporting and input on any agreed external progress reporting the Senior Transition Manager deems required.
  • Have overall responsibility for RAID log, including capture, update and any governance required to manage, maintain and report.
  • Assist Senior Transition Lead in Quality Gateway management, including preparing the gateway assessments and managing the gateway governance meetings, assessment issue and mitigations.
  • May be required to assist the Programme Director in Programme-level planning, reporting or governance.
  • Be responsible for managing the Project Coordinator in the delivery of their responsibilities, majority of which will be in support of Technical PM.
  • Be key point of contact for Project Managers in supplier mobilisation teams and will need to build delivery relationships to ensure mutual critical milestones are met.
  • Be able to impact assess change as required using modelling to forecast impacts to plan.
  • Ensure cohesion with supplier mobilisation plans and key delivery milestones ensuring alignment of the KBR and Supplier plans where applicable.
  • Ensure all documentation is stored and updated in the master document register as required.
  • Ensure communications and correspondence with internal team, external suppliers, and client are frequent and support the progress of the overall plan.
  • Be responsible for the overall management of the project change process.
