OVERVIEW
The Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model was mobilised in 2019 with the purpose of transforming major project delivery at the Sellafield nuclear site.
The partnership brings together KBR, Amentum, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Altrad and Sellafield Ltd to deliver a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects to support the decommissioning of Sellafield and to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.
In delivering its pipeline of large-scale infrastructure projects, PPP is creating opportunities for its people, supply chain, economy and communities.
KBR’s rapidly growing nuclear team of teams is working at the forefront of the UK’s nuclear space on some of the most exciting new-build, defence and decommissioning programmes.

THE ROLE
A member of the Project Information Management (IM) team, reporting into the Asset Information Manager, the role holder will be handling incoming data submissions from the supply chain, monitor data quality ensuring compliance to the project BIM Execution Plan and Sellafield Reference Data Library (RDL), managing the timeliness of the supplier submissions, compiling supplier data completeness reports ensuring overall package completeness, and managing workloads against schedule.
The role holder will be liaising with suppliers, package engineers, construction partners, Document Control and BIM team, ensuring the alignment of supplier data across the project system landscape.
As far as is reasonable, the delivery of the project goals will be achieved through the best application of digital technology solutions and methods thus maximising the efficiency of the project teams.
The project system landscape is evolving in line with Programme and Project Partner’s (PPP) Common Data Environment (CDE) including BIM, asset data management, document management, construction management, and commissioning. The CDE is underpinned by a robust data structure in line with Sellafield Reference Data Library (RDL), Industry Standards (ISO19650 and CFIHOS).
The IM team works closely with PPP Services Digital Delivery Capability to ensure digital delivery for the project is fit for purpose, aligned with the overall strategy for the PPP programme, feedback key project requirements and ensure that the project and the wider PPP teams benefit from any key lessons learned.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handling incoming data submissions from supply chain and uploads spreadsheet files into project central tag database.
- Manages timeliness of supplier submissions (of data files) which will be recorded on the Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).
- Advises engineers of reasons why supplier data submissions do not meet the criteria and therefore whether they need to comment or reject them.
- Compile supplier data completeness metrics to support the overall package completeness.
- Monitor upcoming busy periods based on the schedule and organise availability and workloads.
- Support the Asset Information Manager to deliver an efficient supplier information process that enhances the value proposition in terms of safety, sustainability, quality, risk, cost, and schedule.
- Provide information and metrics relative to information management assets, the graphical and non-graphical data acquired by the project for Project Management Reports.
- Identify and report on patterns and trends relative to Asset Information quality.
- Interpret and communicate contractual and project specific supplier data requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote information security and data quality requirements to suppliers.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Have good understanding of major capital project execution and technologies employed including engineering systems, content management/EDMS systems, collaboration tools, database concepts etc.
- Must be able to prioritize own work effectively and be able to direct activities of others.
- Have excellent communications skills and be able to present asset data requirements effectively to internal as well as external stakeholders.
- Be capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
- Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making.
- Ability to analyse and work with large volumes of asset related data using MS Excel.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Knowledge of data management principles and industry standards such as CFIHOS and ISO19650.
- Very good proficiency in the use of MS Office 365 applications and experience of managing data within a Common Data Environment (CDE) for projects.
- Understanding of government security classifications (Official, Official Sensitive etc..) and the corresponding handling requirements.
- Knowledge of BIM methodologies and application of industry standards.
- Data analytics tool skills: SQL, Python, and Power BI.
