Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents, offering challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.
We are looking to recruit a Software Tester for a 6-month contract, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role:
To be a key contributor in the development and testing of web-based systems in support of multiple Business Units throughout KBR globally. The successful candidate should possess experience in testing web-based applications, as well as a demonstrated ability to create detailed test specifications and test plans. The candidate will develop functional test cases and scenarios by working with business stakeholders, developers, and project managers.
Core Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a set of test scripts to test functionality and performance of product components developed in-house.
- Define and report meaningful test metrics to support decision making by the project manager and product acceptance criteria.
- Provide complex technical expertise to engineering management in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.
- Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced test personnel.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Expertise in ad hoc database queries using SQL or SQL tools like Toad.
- Experience in testing Web Interfaces and Data-Load Interfaces and Reports.
- Communication and technical writing skills necessary to produce formal test specifications and test plans.
- Analytical, problem-solving, time management, priority allocation, and task management skills.
- Strong presentation skills to present test results to individuals and groups.
- Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
