Role Overview
Submarine Engineering Graduate – Manchester / Glasgow
Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid; time split between office, client sites, and working from home. Closing date: 31 July 2026. Applications are encouraged early.
Responsibilities
- Participate in multiple submarine‑focused projects, from early design and assessment to in‑service support and disposal.
- Work on submarine structures, systems and components (including combat systems), naval reactor plants and associated maintenance facilities.
- Support real‑time operational challenges, build and maintenance activities, and address complex ageing and material issues.
- Contribute to safety case development and through‑life safety management.
- Engage with clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across sectors such as aerospace, civil nuclear and rail.
- Travel within the UK and internationally for site visits, networking events, and industry conferences.
Qualifications
- 2:1 degree or higher (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering or scientific field.
- Relevant degree courses: Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering.
- Strong academic background with analytical skills.
- Ability to undergo pre‑employment screening and meet UK National Security Vetting clearance criteria.
