KBR Consulting seeks a senior technical leader to drive asset integrity, life extension and asset management consulting across the full asset lifecycle in operating/brownfield environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical authority on asset integrity management and structural/mechanical life extension for facilities, infrastructure and equipment in operating/brownfield environments.
- Lead or provide senior technical oversight for a range of services including:
- Structured asset life extension evaluations, including HSE and business risk-based approaches.
- Debottlenecking studies, identifying constraints and recommending solutions.
- Mechanical integrity and inspection program assessments / gap closure, including management systems and multi-year continuous improvement.
- Integrity Operating Window (IOW) / Damage mechanism reviews, Corrosion Control Document (CCD) program development or validation and equipment reliability reviews.
- Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) program implementations.
- Fitness-for-Service (FFS) evaluations (Per API 579) and pressure equipment damage assessment, including FEA where appropriate.
- Fire damage assessments to determine inspection and repair requirements.
- Equipment asset care strategies and life-cycle analysis, and operator care/on-stream monitoring programs.
- Development and review of high-quality technical deliverables β reports, presentations, models and decision-support materials.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, translating complex engineering topics into clear, decision-ready business insights across the four core asset management pillars.
- Provide senior consulting input to improve reliability and reduce business risk, including criticality analysis, RAM analysis, FMEA, and root-cause failure analysis.
- Lead or contribute to brownfield optimisation and turnaround/outage support, developing risk registers, scope optimisation, TAR strategy, and post-TAR lessons learned.
- Support business development by preparing proposals, technical inputs to bids, client meetings and technical workshops.
- Mentor and guide less-experienced engineers and consultants, develop internal methodologies, tools and best practices, and collaborate across global teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Depth of experience in asset integrity management, structured asset life extension evaluation, mechanical integrity program assessments, IOW/CCD programme development, FFS/FEA evaluations and equipment asset care strategies.
- Experience in risk-management, root-cause failure analysis, PSM programme support, HSSE programme assessments, reliability programmes, RAM analysis, FMEA, electrical infrastructure preventive maintenance and asset life extension.
- Experience in process optimisation, risk registers, CAPEX/maintenance optimisation, turnaround scope reviews, debottlenecking, PSV studies and catalyst life evaluation.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, deliver high-quality outputs to tight schedules, and support technical due diligence or lenderβs engineer roles.
- Strong self-starter with excellent communication skills, cultural awareness, commercial awareness and continuous improvement mindset.
- Willingness to travel up to ~30%.
- Based in the Leatherhead office.
