We’re looking for an Early Careers level Noise and Vibration Engineer to join our team in Leatherhead, supporting our global design and engineering projects. You’ll be working as part of a wider Technical Safety and Environmental Team across a range of industry sectors to deliver world-class projects.
Industrial acoustics addresses noise and vibration control in Process Equipment, Piping, Valves, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Public Address General Alarm (PAGA), and architecture. KBR is committed to helping customers deliver a more sustainable future through the solutions we provide.
Roles and Responsibilities- Identify project-specific legislation, standards, codes, practices and procedures.
- Develop philosophies or basis of design.
- Develop calculations or models.
- Compare predicted N&V levels against required limits.
- Support projects in identifying noise and vibration reduction, control or mitigation measures.
- Support Package Responsible Engineers (PRE) during the procurement phase, particularly during vendor liaisons.
- Ideally you will have experience in a relevant field or industry.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Proficient in general IT and software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ideally you will have a degree in noise and vibration, physics or an engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical engineering).
- Preferably you will be a member of a relevant engineering, science, or environmental institute.
