Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents, offering challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

We are seeking an Offshore Jacket Engineer for a 6-month assignment, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role:

As a Technical Advisor - Offshore structural, you will support the lead related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned.

Key Responsibilities / Skills:

  • Design basis, material and construction specifications
  • Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (in-service) phase (in-place, fatigue, seismic), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, launch, upending and setdown) and accidental phase (boat impact, ALE earthquake, pushover).
  • Perform detailed design of jacket appurtenances
  • Review analyses/calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies
  • Liaise with other disciplines, client and 3rd party contractors
  • Coordinate with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Structural Engineering Design
  • Minimum experience of 12 years with excellent technical and practical engineering skills, able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
  • Proficient user of SESAM GENIE and SESAM suite of software
  • Perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902 and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
