Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents, offering challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.
We are seeking an IT Project Manager for a 6 month assignment, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose Of The Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to deliver a range of client-facing and internal projects, covering the mobilisation and exit from key accounts. This role will involve managing multiple IT and people-focused projects, ensuring high-quality assurance, maintaining strong client relationships, and aligning technical design and project outcomes with goals.
Qualifications / Requirements
- 5+ years of project management experience, with a strong focus on client-facing projects in industries such as IT, software development, consulting, or professional services
- Knowledge and experience of the Public Sector technology programmes
- Capable of running effective project governance, with both internal and external stakeholders
- Able to build collaborative and productive working relationships with vendors, clients, and internal technical resources
- Proficient in the use of project delivery methodology, tooling and artefacts, including planning, scope and change management, governance and RAID management
- Ability to apply these while striking a meaningful balance between client flexibility and adherence to budget
- Capable of building project plans, identifying resource requirements, the critical path and key tasks to fulfil the plan, and proficient in the use of project planning and delivery tooling
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to tailor approaches based on project needs
- Experience of working with operational teams in demanding, delivery-focused environments, delivering multiple projects simultaneously, from initiation to closure
- Capable of building a delivery mindset in project teams, including internal resources and vendors
- Capable of using initiative whilst understanding the tolerances and boundaries that necessitate escalation
- Possess analytical skills to break down complex scopes of work, arrange them in a logical sequence, identify dependencies, constraints and opportunities
- Good written, oral, comprehension and presentation skills to enable effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders
- A good level of knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, including a general knowledge of software development and software and hardware architecture
- Preparation and delivery of presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver projects to or for public sector clients
- Delivering in a secure environment (Official-Sensitive or higher)
Responsibilities / Duties
- Manage a variety of projects, often in parallel where appropriate and supporting large projects
- Plan and deliver projects, including within mobilisation programmes to fixed timelines
- Support and drive all aspects of the project through the lifecycle, from definition through delivery to close, including schedule, budget, resource, quality, risks, issues, change and stakeholders
- Being accountable for using the standard project management products of plans, schedules, budgets, and reports for project delivery, ensuring transparency and accountability
- Governance of project delivery, including stakeholder reporting, change management, and issue resolution through structured frameworks
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving challenges to ensure smooth project delivery
- Work with third party clients and vendors enabling the delivery of service delivery projects through stakeholder engagement and facilitation of required delivery activities across all parties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors, to ensure successful project execution
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry regulations, and business policies while continuously seeking process improvements
- Establish priorities for the completion of assigned tasks, supervise and manage the input of others, ensuring task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy
- Lead project lessons-learned initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation
