The FP&A Analyst will support the Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) organization at KBR, contributing to financial planning, reporting, business partnering, and transformation initiatives across global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long‑range planning for STS Globals. Assist in developing financial assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting mitigation actions. Prepare monthly business performance reviews and financial reporting packs. Analyze revenue, margin, EBITDA, headcount, backlog, and operational KPIs to support decision‑making. Provide variance analysis and clear commentary on business performance.
  • Business Performance & Reporting: Deliver insightful financial analysis for operational and strategic decision‑making. Help develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, and management reporting tools. Translate financial data into concise and meaningful business insights. Support continuous improvement of reporting processes, data quality, and financial transparency. Assist with ad‑hoc analysis and reporting requests from STS Finance leadership. Collaborate with the Chennai finance support team to enhance reporting consistency and alignment.
  • Business Partnering & Operational Support: Partner with operational and finance stakeholders across the Globals organization. Support commercial and operational initiatives through financial analysis and modelling. Assist leadership teams in understanding the financial implications of business decisions. Evaluate business performance drivers and identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Transformation & Strategic Support: Support finance activities related to the STS separation and spin process. Assist with organizational, reporting, and financial transition activities as required. Contribute to strategic projects and ad‑hoc initiatives led by the STS CFO organization. Support ongoing finance transformation initiatives focused on standardization and reporting optimization. Provide flexible support across a broad range of finance and operational priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Business & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, commercial awareness, ability to interpret financial information and communicate insights, comfort with large datasets and multiple data sources, organized and proactive.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and financial modelling, experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, familiarity with Power BI and dashboard reporting tools preferred, exposure to enterprise financial systems such as EPM, FCCS, SAP, or similar, strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively across finance and operational teams, comfort engaging stakeholders across functions and regions, positive, flexible, and solutions‑oriented approach.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline; professionally qualified or working toward a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent); experience in finance, FP&A, or business partnering; experience in project‑based, engineering, consulting, or professional services industries is advantageous.
