Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Glasgow, Scotland (Hybrid – 3 days per week in‑office, with occasional site visits).
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major infrastructure programme in Scotland. In this role you will estimate, monitor and manage construction costs, working closely with project managers, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure projects are completed within budget and in compliance with regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform cost estimation and prepare detailed cost plans for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Monitor project costs, provide regular reports and analyse cost variances.
- Administer NEC contracts, handle variations and claims, and manage procurement processes.
- Lead and mentor junior surveyors, ensuring compliance with project and client requirements.
- Engage stakeholders across clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
What we need
- Experience with NEC Contracts and a proven track record on large‑scale infrastructure projects, ideally within the defence sector.
- Strong cost management and commercial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, risk management).
- Proficiency in CEMAR.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
Required Clearance
SC Clearance. Due to the secure nature of this project, restrictions in relation to UK residency and nationality will apply.
