Are you an experienced Technical Author with an engineering background looking to support complex, safety-critical infrastructure projects? This is an opportunity to play a key role in the development and maintenance of technical documentation that supports the safe design, operation and maintenance of critical engineering assets within a highly regulated environment. You will work closely with engineering, safety and project teams to produce clear, accurate and compliant technical documentation that supports the lifecycle management of infrastructure and associated systems.
What You'll Be Doing- Develop, maintain and assure high-quality technical documentation supporting the design, operation, maintenance and safety of Structures, Systems and Components (SSCs).
- Translate complex engineering and technical information into clear, concise and user-friendly documentation for operators, maintainers and other stakeholders.
- Support the development and management of document templates, authoring standards and guidance documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, safety and project teams to gather, validate and structure technical information.
- Ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with quality, configuration management and document control requirements.
- Manage document revisions and version control to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Promote a strong safety and security culture at all times.
- Experience in technical authoring within an engineering, defence, manufacturing, industrial or similarly regulated environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical specifications and other engineering data.
- Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working with document management, configuration management and version control processes.
- Knowledge of technical documentation standards and structured authoring principles.
This role is mostly remote with occasional visits to site.
Security Requirements: SC Clearance. Due to the secure nature of this project, restrictions in relation to UK residency and nationality will apply.
