We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead a multi-disciplinary team supporting the ongoing safety, integrity and performance of critical nuclear infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading engineering activities associated with design change, engineering substantiation and assurance of Nuclear Safety Implicated Structures, Systems and Components (SSCs). Working within a highly regulated environment, you will ensure engineering solutions remain compliant with regulatory requirements, design intent and nuclear safety standards while providing technical leadership across a range of complex engineering activities.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous Design Authority experience, including design change processes and engineering governance.
  • Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering background with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of engineering substantiation, design intent and nuclear infrastructure requirements.
  • Knowledge of relevant British and international engineering standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage, prioritise and coordinate the workload of technical teams.
  • Experience supporting engineering assurance, safety case activities or regulatory compliance within a highly regulated industry would be advantageous.
Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of engineering design intent principles within nuclear or similarly regulated industries.

The role is Hybrid – Home/Office/Site.
