Job Description

Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR who are a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

KBR support the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

We are looking to recruit a Control Systems MAC Engineer for a 8-month contract, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Role Overview

Ideal candidates will be experienced in the detailed engineering phase of projects, particularly in handling packages. The successful candidate will assist in designing process control systems based on DCS, ESD, and FGS systems.

Skills / Experience

  • Contribute to the development of I&C design deliverables, including P&IDs, Instrument List, Instrument Specifications, and Instrument Data Sheets.
  • Work in the detailed engineering phase of projects, with a focus on handling packages.
  • Assist in the design of process control systems based on DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
  • Collaborate with client counterparts and vendors to interface control systems and new packages.
  • Support risk assessments such as Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP).
  • Prepare technical requisitions and conduct bid evaluations.
  • Assist in the development of Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS) and demonstrate working knowledge of IEC 61508 & IEC 61511.
  • Perform assigned automation-related job functions, including the creation of I/O lists, Instrumentation lists, and the specification of instrumentation and control elements.
  • Interface with Electrical systems and MCC.
  • Ability to review wiring diagrams and knowledge in SPI.
  • Experience in Brownfield offshore projects.
  • Experience working with multiple centers.
  • Preference will be given to candidates familiar with BP standards and work processes
