Frazer‐Nash provides aviation certification and safety assurance services to the UK Military Defence sector. We are seeking an experienced certification senior engineer or consultant to support development and delivery of this service, providing engineering expertise across a large team of multi‐discipline aerospace engineers for fixed‐wing, rotary‐wing, crewed and uncrewed air systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong engineering experience across multiple disciplines
  • Lead technical delivery within programmes under the guidance of a senior consultant
  • Support initial or continuing airworthiness, including EASA CS, Military MAC‐P, and Defence Specifications
  • Manage certification requirements, safety, assurance, test and acceptance processes
  • Maintain a strong customer‐focused attitude and demonstrate understanding of air‐systems life‐cycle safety aspects

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience leading engineering teams (senior NCO, engineering officer, or civilian equivalent)
  • Chartered Engineer (RAeS, IMechE, IET) or working towards one
  • Demonstrable technical experience in a Systems Engineering environment within the aerospace industry
  • Experience with safety work within a platform delivery team or similar
  • Familiarity with EASA CS or Military MAC‐P / Def Stan00‐970 certification specifications
  • Previous experience in requirement management, safety and assurance, test and acceptance

Desirable Qualifications

  • First degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience within a Defence Equipment & Support frontline engineering delivery team
  • Experience on a Squadron or similar
  • Lead auditor experience
  • Previous/current experience as an engineering consultant

Candidates will be subject to pre‐employment screening and must meet UK National Security Vetting clearance criteria.
