Location: Burton, Manchester or Glasgow

Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer‑Nash – time split between the office, university, client sites and working from home.

We are looking for skilled systems thinkers with extensive background in nuclear to join our Systems Engineering teams at Frazer‑Nash. In this role you will work on a range of projects across sectors, with a focus on the nuclear domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Applying systems thinking to solve complex problems;
  • Developing models to deliver systems engineering outputs;
  • Developing and managing the implementation of systems engineering lifecycles;
  • Generating, managing and implementing robust systems engineering processes (Requirements, Verification & Validation);
  • Supporting engagements with clients, facilitating workshops and leading projects.

Security Clearance Requirement

Candidates must undergo pre‑employment screening and satisfy UK National Security Vetting clearance criteria.

Essential Requirements

  • A degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline;
  • Relevant experience applying Systems Engineering in a nuclear related role;
  • Understanding of engineering processes and lifecycles (Agile, V–Lifecycle, Requirements);
  • Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE);
  • Complex problem‑solving skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with Systems Engineering toolsets (IBM DOORS, DOORS Next, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.);
  • Experience with Agile Systems Engineering Approaches;
  • CEng or IEng accreditation or actively working toward it through mentored professional development;
  • Experience working as a consultant and managing projects.
