About the Role

You will be part of a high-impact programme, working at the forefront of complex infrastructure and operational delivery. This role offers the chance to influence critical outcomes, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and grow your leadership capability within a challenging and rewarding environment. You will take ownership of planning and executing acceptance strategies, working closely with commissioning teams and wider programme stakeholders. Your focus will be on ensuring a clear, structured, and compliant route to acceptance and operational readiness across all aspects of delivery.

In this role, you will drive readiness planning, solve complex challenges, and ensure alignment across all Defence Lines of Development (DLoD). From early design through to construction and handover, you will embed acceptance requirements into every stage of the programme to support a smooth and efficient transition into service. Initially, you will work independently to develop the acceptance strategy during design and tender phases. As the programme evolves, you will help build and lead a dedicated acceptance team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a nuclear or highly regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, acceptance processes, and governance frameworks.
  • Background in infrastructure, engineering, or equipment delivery programmes.
  • Experience managing acceptance, commissioning, handover, or operational readiness activities.
  • Ability to produce and interpret complex technical documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, with a focus on delivering against deadlines and programme milestones.

Location

This is a hybrid role, combining on-site collaboration with stakeholders and flexible home working. Occasional travel to partner locations may be required.

SC Clearance. Due to the secure nature of this project, restrictions in relation to UK residency and nationality will apply.
