Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents, offering challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.
We are seeking a Data Warehouse Technical Lead for a 12-month assignment, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role:
For an experienced Data Warehouse Technical Lead to develop, support and evolve a critical on-premise ‘common data environment’ (CDE) within a wider integrated solution. The role will involve designing, building, testing, supporting and evolving the CDE, ensuring it receives data from multiple KBR system and Client System sources.
Experience and Skills:
Essential:
- Experience developing, deploying and supporting multi-data source SQL data warehouses in an on-premise environment
- Experience of the full Microsoft Stack – SSIS, SSRS and SSAS
- Experience creating, documenting and developing data models to deliver management information outcomes
- Experience developing ETL procedures from multiple data sources to one data source
- Adept at building collaborative technical and business working relationships to deliver outputs and outcomes
- Experienced in authoring technical documentation, able to write clear and maintainable artefacts to support developments
- Has demonstrated technical leadership: able to understand technical trends and convert into tactical and strategic advantages; able to explain and demystify technology to non-technical audiences
- Experienced in a second-line technical resolver support environment, able to identify technical issues and manage from root cause to rectification
- Experience of using Paginated Reports for Power BI to deploy paginated reports into Azure to management information consumers
- Experience of creating on-prem data warehouse that provides data to a Cloud Azure instance/Power BI/SharePoint
- Experienced in working with Project and Programme Management environment, assisting in creating detailed plans and ensuring these are accurate, viable and maintainable
Desirable:
- Experience working FM Integrator Environment, especially creating ETL routines from Concept Evolution to Data Warehouse
- Experience of creating ETL routines from client data sources where data quality/integrity may be an issue
- Experience of VBA and .BAT programming
- Experience of scrum teams & sprint ceremonies
- Experience of leading/contributing to technical and data governance
- Understands Agile best practices (code reviews, unit tests, TDD)
- Experienced Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery
- Experience of collaborating in a MS Teams environment
- Knowledge of the Facilities Management industry
- Experience of delivering projects to or for public sector clients
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
Working within the FMI ITIM Team:
- Specifying high-level/low level data models, ETL plans and data warehouse designs
- Building and unit testing data warehouses as part of wider integrated solution
- Developing suite of paginated reports and dashboards to deliver multi-organisational management information requirements
- Assisting project management activities in planning, effort estimating and progress reporting
- Supporting and developing build solution as part of BAU service management
- Working with the FMI BI/MI Lead
- Agreeing MI Operating Model that ensures future MI requirements for stakeholders are captured, assessed, developed and delivered in a structured, auditable and repeatable manner
- Working with the FMI Technical Product Owner
- Advising on and contributing toward development of strategic Technical Product set, especially the data & reporting layer strategy
- Supporting associated technical transformation/mobilisation projects through all phases from definition through development to close
