We’re hiring! We’re looking for an Early Careers level Noise and Vibration Engineer to join our team in Leatherhead, supporting our global design and engineering Projects. You’ll be working as part of a wider Technical Safety and Environmental Team across a range of industry sectors to deliver world class Projects. Industrial acoustics addresses noise and vibration control in Process Equipment, Piping, Valves, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Public Address General Alarm (PAGA), and architecture. Roles and Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, you will support design development and engineering work in the discipline of industrial acoustics. Your work will include:

  • Identifying Project specific legislation, standards, codes, practices and procedures.
  • Developing philosophies, or basis of design.
  • Developing calculations or models.
  • Compare predicted N&V levels against the required limits.
  • Support Projects in the identification of noise and vibration reduction, control or mitigation measures.
  • Supporting Package Responsible Engineers (PRE) through procurement phase particularly during vendor liaisons.
Skills and experience

Ideally you will have experience in a relevant field or industry.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proficient in general IT and software packages e.g. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Educational experience

Ideally you will have a degree in noise and vibration, physics or an engineering discipline e.g. mechanical engineering.

  • Preferably you will be a member of a relevant engineering, science, or environmental institute.
