This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front‑end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer you will lead a group of engineers on a project, plan, budget, organise and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program, and be responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and work hour budget and the successful delivery of mechanical project scope of work. This role requires extensive interface with the client, project management, suppliers, corporate management and the global team of mechanical engineers employed throughout KBR’s worldwide offices.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Chartered engineer preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading mechanical teams on energy transition and petrochemical projects, encompassing concept development, front‑end engineering design and detailed design.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a passion for innovative engineering solutions.
- Knowledge of the major mechanical equipment types, to include static, machinery, and packaged equipment.
- A working knowledge of industry standards for energy transition or oil and gas equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction or visa sponsorship.
