A well established, friendly and supportive accountancy firm in North London is looking to hire a Bookkeeper to join their team. Essentially, the role will be to work within a team with the expectation to do the following:

  • Prepare VAT returns for multiple businesses including restaurants, wholesalers of textiles and furniture, fashion designers, and digital marketers.
  • Reconcile sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Prepare final accounts up to and including trial balance stage.
  • Prepare tax returns including all workings.
  • Work directly with the accountants to finalise accounts for companies, sole traders, and partnerships.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Great knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail and focus on getting the job done.
  • Good ability to work within a team.
  • Liaise with clients and request all the information needed to complete the work.

Other requirements but not essential:

  • Part qualified in AAT.
  • Knowledge of VT Transactions.
  • Ideally would have some experience working in an accountancy practice.
