We are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join a growing healthcare communications agency. Reporting to the Finance Director and Associate Director of Management Accounting, you will play a key role in financial operations, ensuring compliance and accuracy while contributing to the companyβs success.
Key Responsibilities
β Oversee group purchase ledgers and manage purchase orders.
β Prepare and reconcile quarterly VAT returns and annual IRS 1099 reports.
β Lead month-end management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and postings.
β Prepare monthly balance sheets, transfer pricing reconciliations, and FX revaluations.
β Manage supplier payments, credit cards, and expense reimbursements.
β Handle intercompany invoicing and reconciliation of balances.
β Support non-labour overhead budgeting and forecasting.
β Supervise and mentor two Finance Assistants.
β Assist in preparing year-end accounts, audits, and corporate cash flow management.
β Ensure compliance with financial policies, immediately addressing any breaches.
β Maintain and update financial reporting timelines.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
β Experience in the Marketing/Advertising/Communications industry.
β Proficiency in Paprika accounting software.
β Advanced MS Excel skills and strong MS Office proficiency.
β Solid understanding of accounting and tax principles, credit control, and related regulations.
β Experience working with both US and UK financial systems.
β Finance or accounting degree, or part-qualified with a relevant professional body (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
β Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
β Proactive, adaptable, and a problem solver with a strong work ethic.
