Workshop Technician – Montrose Due to continued growth, KBM are recruiting a motivated and reliable Workshop Technician to join our client in Montrose. The Role As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, testing, and preparation of rental equipment to ensure it meets company and customer requirements. You will play a key role in supporting workshop operations while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities * Inspect, service, maintain, and repair rental equipment. * Prepare equipment for mobilisation and customer use. * Carry out function testing and quality checks in accordance with company procedures. * Diagnose faults and undertake corrective maintenance. * Complete maintenance records and workshop documentation accurately. * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures. * Maintain housekeeping standards within the workshop and yard. * Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of equipment when required. * Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational efficiency. Requirements Essential * Previous experience in a mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or workshop technician role. * Strong practical and fault-finding skills. * Ability to read and follow technical procedures and documentation. * Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good communication and organisational skills. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable * Experience working within the oil and gas, energy, engineering sectors. * Forklift licence * Overhead crane * Relevant engineering or mechanical qualification (SVQ, NVQ, HNC, apprenticeship, or equivalent).
