KBM Resourcing have an exciting, flexible, part time training role available. The Welding Apprentice Trainer role will be integrated into the Fabrication department, with the purpose of ensuring welding apprentices receive excellent welding training in line with the Company’s inhouse apprentice training programme.
The ideal candidate will have an appropriate welding trade background and a strong knowledge of all welding and fabrication processes in a range of materials. Any other formal training will be provided. Candidates must also have strong people management skills with the correct aptitude for tutoring. This role is part time, working three days per week. We can be flexible with applicants on which days they work, working around apprentice college days each term.
There are currently eight fabrication/welding apprentices spanning across four years of apprenticeship training, with another apprentice intake planned for August 2026.
Duties will include but may not be restricted to:
- Training apprentices in a range of welding processes: MMA, TIG, FCAW, MIG, SUBARC
- Welding a variety of materials: steel, stainless steel, aluminium, duplex, cunifer
- Tack welding of fit-ups
- Welding various material grades and positions
- Lifting and handling safely
