KBM Resourcing are recruiting a Welding Tutor to work with our client based in Stonehaven. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served Welder who is ready to pass on their knowledge and mentor the next generation of welders. Whether you are looking to come off the tools, or are already off the tools and seeking part-time work, this permanent role offers the chance to work closely with apprentices throughout their full learning journey.
The Role
You will integrate into the fabrication department and play a key role in ensuring welding apprentices receive high-quality training and mentoring, aligned with the company’s in-house training programme. You will be working with a team of 9 fabrication apprentices enrolled on a 4-year training programme, supporting them from early development through to qualification.

- Training apprentices in a range of welding processes, including:
- MMA
- TIG
- FCAW
- MIG
- Sub Arc
- Carbon steel
- Stainless steel
- Aluminium
- Duplex
- Cunifer
Candidate Specification
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Time-served welder
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes across a range of materials
- Sound understanding of workshop safety practices
Personal Attributes:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent people management skills and the right aptitude for tutoring and mentoring
- Developed numeracy and computer literacy skills
- Patient, supportive, and passionate about developing others
