An excellent opportunity is now available for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a reputable Oil and Gas company based in Aberdeen. In this role, you can expect to deliver Mechanical Engineering solutions, assist the Lead Design Engineer, mentor existing team members, assist with calculation approval, generate CTRs and input into the tendering and FEED scopes. You will be joining a well-established company who deliver work to the highest of standards. Responsibilities:
- Undertake Mechanical Engineering activities across projects.
- Prepare design calculations, reports, manufacturing drawings, layout drawings and associated documentation.
- Carry out mechanical analysis and calculations.
- Work closely with design and engineering teams.
- Support and mentor less experienced team members.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Participate in sales and tendering support.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
Required:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
- Proficient in structural analysis tools such as MathCad or FS2000/Staad.
- Experience with fabrication practices and tolerances.
