The Role
Responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of all workshop operations. Lead a team of approximately 35 employees, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and delivery performance are consistently achieved. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in improving operational efficiency, controlling costs, and developing your team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all workshop activities comply with company policies and safety standards.
- Drive on-time delivery, cost control, and operational efficiency.
- Manage processes to achieve “right first time” delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement cost-saving and performance improvement initiatives.
- Set and monitor clear objectives and KPIs aligned to business goals.
- Optimise the use of labour, materials, and assets.
- Support the Operations Manager with wider operational responsibilities.
Requirements
Essential
- Experience managing and leading teams in a workshop or operational environment.
- Strong financial awareness, including budget and cost management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
