Senior Project Manager – This is a great opportunity to join an Engineering Company specialising in the Electrical Engineering and Rotating Machinery sector.
You will be responsible for the delivery of complex, high value engineering projects between £150K and £10million.
You will be tasked with ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget in accordance with contractual, technical and quality requirements.
Working throughout the full project life-cycle, you will face duties such as supporting business development and tendering activities, commissioning, final close-outs, working closely with customers/ suppliers/ subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Commercial and Business Development duties such as: identifying new business opportunities, prepare quotations and cost estimates, manage budgets/ forecasting/ profitability and managing changes in projects as required.
- Lead the planning and delivery of high value engineering projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain project execution plans.
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams whilst providing clear direction throughout project life-cycle.
- Establish appropriate project governance, standards and reporting frameworks.
- Identify project risks and opportunities.
- Adhere to and promote all health and safety standards.
- Conduct project evaluations and post-project reviews.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of work experience at this level.
- Proven experience managing complex engineering project between £150K - £10million.
- Strong Rotating Machinery, Electrical Engineering, Power Generation background.
- Experience delivering projects within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, hydropower, or conventional power generation.
- Strong leadership skills.
Education
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline is preferred.
- Recognised Project Management qualification id desirable.
