To support manufacturing operations by carrying out patrol and final inspections of laser-cut parts, machined components and fabrications, ensuring all products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards. The role is key to maintaining product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Carry out patrol and final inspections of laser-cut parts, machined parts and fabrications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and relevant quality specifications.
- Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation of materials received.
- Conduct routine and random quality checks on in-process and finished products prior to shipment.
- Identify and report non-conformities to the Workshop Manager and Quality Manager.
- Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometres and gauges to verify dimensions and features.
- Produce and maintain quality records and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, or other systems.
- Support and follow procedures in line with ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.
- Experience using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
Requirements
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage workload effectively in a busy environment.
