The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

To support manufacturing operations by carrying out patrol and final inspections of laser-cut parts, machined components and fabrications, ensuring all products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards. The role is key to maintaining product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out patrol and final inspections of laser-cut parts, machined parts and fabrications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and relevant quality specifications.
  • Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation of materials received.
  • Conduct routine and random quality checks on in-process and finished products prior to shipment.
  • Identify and report non-conformities to the Workshop Manager and Quality Manager.
  • Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometres and gauges to verify dimensions and features.
  • Produce and maintain quality records and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, or other systems.
  • Support and follow procedures in line with ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.
  • Experience using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).

Requirements

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage workload effectively in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
