KBM are currently recruiting for Platers and Semi-Skilled Operatives for a well-established structural steel fabrication workshop based in Perth. These are ongoing opportunities with an initial duration of 12 weeks, with the potential for longer-term work.
Plater Duties:
- Fabrication and assembly of structural steel components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Marking out, fitting and preparing steelwork
- Working to quality and safety standards
Semi-Skilled Operative Duties:
- Operating bandsaws and cutting equipment
- Forklift driving and material handling
- Moving steel throughout the workshop
- Assisting fabrication teams as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a heavy engineering, fabrication or structural steel environment
- Ability to work safely and effectively within a workshop setting
- Forklift licence advantageous for Semi-Skilled roles
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
