An excellent opportunity has become available to join an Engineering and Manufacturing company based in Aberdeen as their Technical Estimator. You will be joining a company with an impressive history and have built an impressive portfolio of clients. The main purpose of the Technical Estimator will be to provide accurate cost estimates for fabrication, welding and machine activities supporting quotation preparation and bid decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings.
- Assess cost‑effective manufacturing methods.
- Carry out material take-offs and calculate material requirements.
- Estimate labour hours.
- Contact suppliers for pricing on materials.
- Liaise with clients.
- Prepare professional quotations.
- Work with engineering and production teams.
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements.
Required:
- Estimating experience or experience in a technical role within engineering, fabrication or machining.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings.
