KBM Resourcing are recruiting for a Yard Operative on behalf of a well-established engineering company. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining an organised yard and warehouse environment, supporting the safe movement, storage, and dispatch of equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment.
- Receive and book in deliveries in line with company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised yard and warehouse.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
- Move equipment around the facility and update location records as required.
- Tag and label assets accurately.
- Manage delivery documentation and ensure paperwork is processed correctly.
- Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
- Support other operational activities as required, following appropriate training and guidance.
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Forklift certificate (B1 & B3 categories).
- Previous forklift operating experience.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience in a yard, warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in engineering equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
